John has been a pioneer in the development of strategic technology alliances.
John started as an entrepreneur, founding a company that became one of IBMs first authorized agents. John’s company implemented ERP software for 170 businesses on IBM midrange systems across various industries.
After selling this business, John was recruited by HP to bring in new alliances from the IBM ISV community. Newly recruited partners were quickly generating in excess of $100M globally each year. His second assignment was to create a startup within HP to add complementary partner products to the HP price list. His US P&L grew to over $130M but also supported leveraged product and managed services sales of over a billion annually. John was tasked by HP to be one of the first 65 Global Client Business Managers supporting the Cisco alliance. This multi-billion dollar relationship turned into one of HPs most visible and strategic partners.
He has created alliances across multiple industries including manufacturing, banking, health care and telecom. During his further career he worked for companies like Brocade, Hitachi, Avaya, and Infor plus a number of others to mature their alliance programs, increase partner leveraged sales and to help accelerate groundbreaking approaches to partnering in new and established markets.
